Overview
Mission Impossible
This is the state of the data centre today:-
- Data centre operators continue to struggle with a pressing power shortage.
- Their budgets shrinking and their deliverables increasing, data centre operators are continually being forced to do more with less.
- In the next 12 months, activity on the (primarily storage and server) virtualisation front, along with the rise in number of enterprises moving toward the ‘cloud’ and turning to SaaS, will add to the burden on data centres much further.
- There will be additional pressure from governments, business communities and users organisation-wide—from top management on down to the executive level—demanding more sustainable or ‘green’ IT, and wanting it NOW.
Then there’s the global economic recession, which impacts regional economies, which impacts local economies, which impacts your business. That means data centre operators have even less to spend and more to do in order to drive its channel or revenue stream creation and/or enhancement efforts.
Does that sound like a badly written episode of Mission Impossible to you?
Guess what—it’s real and it’s happening now.
Come to this event to hear, share and network with likeminded ICT executives similarly saddled with the problems of the world and a shoestring budget, as well as with the world’s leading technologists and business leaders.
And work together to figure out a way to take your data centres through the next 12 months and beyond.
