IT management and solutions provider CA Technologies has put Malaysia and Thailand into the hands of an industry veteran, Nutapone Apiluktoyanunt, who has been named as new country manager.

Apiluktoyanunt, who is based in Bangkok, will oversee the operations with the respective country representative partners (CRPs), namely, CA IT Infrastructure Solutions (CA-IT) in Malaysia and CA Solutions (Thailand).

"The opportunities associated with a company that has experience in providing leading platform-neutral software are very exciting," said Apiluktoyanunt. "I look forward to working with the CRPs in each country to address local needs and help businesses deliver operational efficiency, reduce risks and monetise innovation."

He will report directly to CA Technologies vice president, Asia South, Victor Cheng, who said: "Nutapone's wealth of regional experience will add value to our team in Asia South and will provide a rock-solid foundation on which to build the growth strategies for Malaysia and Thailand. We are pleased to have him manage the CA Technologies operations in these countries."

Cheng said Apiluktoyanunt would oversee the management, technical and marketing support for CRPs in Malaysia and Thailand. "The CRPs will continue to manage the CA Technologies partner and customer ecosystems in Thailand, to ensure seamless connectivity between the business needs of the partner and user community, and CA Technologies industry leading solutions."

"With this appointment, Nutapone strengthens the CRP value proposition for Malaysia," said CA-IT general manager, Zulkifli Md Ghairi. "We've already begun to introduce CA Technologies best practices to maximise competitive advantage for Malaysian businesses, and we are certain that our customers will benefit from his experience and expertise."

"We are delighted that Nutapone will be working with us to capture the myriad untapped opportunities in Thailand. Thai businesses have recognised we have solutions that will give them a real competitive edge, and we will help them maximise their potential both locally and in the global arena," said CA Solutions (Thailand) general manager, Suthep Oonmettachit.

With more than two decades of experience in the IT industry, Apiluktoyanunt joins CA Technologies from Huawei Enterprise (SEA), where he was the deputy president of sales, heading sales operations for 11 countries in Southeast Asia. Prior to Huawei, Apiluktoyanunt was the country manager for F5 Networks, where he was responsible for overall business operations, sales and business development for Thailand. He also held country manager positions at Acision (Thailand) where he ran the Thai office and opened up new markets in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, and at Hewlett Packard where he expanded the company's software business in Thailand.
