BLOG: Securing the foundations of a modern organisation

Kurt Roemer, chief security strategist, Citrix | March 8, 2012
So, how and where do you start to develop a modern security strategy?

The new mobile, flexible workplace is an exciting prospect for staff and organisations alike. Growing business agility is increasing both productivity and work/life balance. This is a win-win situation, which can be incubated by CIOs. By embracing - not fearing - BYO policies, mobility and workshifting, CIOs and CISOs can empower productive workstyles and deliver the business agility demanded by modern organisations today.

In order to do so, leaders must embrace new security strategies. Desktop virtualisation is a key enabling technology in the adoption of these new mobile workstyles. The modern workplace deserves, and urgently needs, a modern information security strategy to maintain information governance while ensuring business agility.
