Green Koncepts is managing energy demand and has reduced costs for Thailand's Island resort Racha and Singapore's Small World Group through its solution called Energetix.

Energetix is an innovative cloud energy management platform boasting powerful real-time energy visualisation and advanced analytics features.

By delivering Real Time Energy Intelligence to Energetix, the resort is able to monitor the energy generated by its diesel generators.

Racha also leveraged the solution to analyse its energy usage in real time according to specific locations such as their F&B outlets, lobby area and villas. Moreover, the platform identifies the exact source of exceptional energy usage to help them eliminate areas of energy wastage and reduce costs.

"We chose Energetix as it could easily be implemented without requiring additional cabling or any business disruption, lowering our costs by about three to five times," said Daniel Lim, Managing Director, The Racha Phuket. "Being a hospitality provider, it is paramount that our guests and operations are unaffected by any new technology implementations. Best of all, Energetix's small hardware footprint aligns with our eco-sustainability philosophy."

Advanced energy visualisation

Small World Group funds and incubates core technology companies in the niches of clean tech, optical systems and novel materials to help them achieve rich, sustainable and profitable futures.

The company adopted Energetix that delivers advanced energy visualisation and in-depth energy analytics through a simple yet intuitive user interface.

Energetix enables Small World Group to see and monitor its energy usage by drilling down to specific locations like meeting rooms and load types such as lighting, air-conditioning and power sockets.

By leveraging a rich historical energy data available online, Small World Group can perform several tasks such as quickly analysing and understanding their energy usage trends, identify areas of wastage and take pro-active action to save energy.

"Our incubator has many companies and people who call the space home and may work late into the night and over the weekends," said Dr. Frank Levinson, Managing Director, Small World Group. "We wanted to have a way to monitor our energy use and whether people were turning the air-con or lights off at night when the space was empty. This solution would help us to optimise our energy by allowing all members of our community access to see the same data."
