Guavus beefs up senior management team eyeing expansion in Asia Pacific

Australian business leader Bob Mansfield joins company’s Advisory Board; Manish Goel hired as chief executive officer.

San Mateo, California-headquartered Guavus has onboarded Bob Mansfield, a distinguished Australian business leader, on the company's Industry Advisory Board, the big data analytics solutions provider announced on 9 October.

Mansfield joins several other industry experts whose experience and insight serve to keep Guavus at the forefront of the rapidly evolving big data landscape for global operators, the company said in a statement.

Mansfield has a long history of leadership in Australia, including as Chief Executive of Optus Communications, and non-executive Chairman of Telstra Corporation.  His experience extends beyond telecommunications and includes several senior roles at other leading Australian firms including; Chairman of McDonalds Australia, Chief Executive at John Fairfax Holdings, and several Reil Corporate companies including, Lilypak, Sunbeam/Victa and Wormald International.

Mansfield's joining the board of Guavus is part of the company's effort to expand operations across Asia Pacific.

On 3 October, the company announced that former NetApp executive Manish Goel has joined the company as chief executive officer.

Former CEO and founder of Guavus Anukool Lakhina handpicked Goel as his successor allowing Anukool to focus on innovation as the company expands into additional markets with systems for closed loop decisioning, the company said in a statement.

Anukool founded Guavus in 2006 and the company currently counts seven of top 10 managed service operators and three of top four North American mobile operators, as customers. The company has raised a total of $87 million in capital from various investors.
