SINGAPORE, 11 May 2011 - FashForward.com, a streaming portal offering live fashion shows online for exclusive events in Singapore and across the region, has recently been launched.
Created by STORM Creative Events Agency, and event production and public relations company, and EVVO Media, a digital media specialist, the portal is reportedly intended to allow consumers front-row seats at fashions shows, regardless of where they are.
According to a press statement by FashForward.com, the "first-in-Singapore" portal will also capture pre-event and post-event footages, as well as provide e-commerce facilities where viewers can reportedly buy merchandise off the runway in real-time.
Live streaming of fashion shows is an up-and-coming trend emerging in the fashion industry worldwide. Big fashion houses including Prada, Armani, and Burberry have reportedly adopted live streaming of their shows.
“Over the years, the fashion industry has been evolving and online platforms and technology is increasingly shaping the industry,” said 23-year-old Keyis Ng, co-founder of FashForward.com and founder of STORM Creative Events Agency
FashForward.com’s first live streaming will be the Audi Fashion Festival 2011 on 13 May.
