NHR has already saved Asia Pacific companies over US$62 million since it opened its Singapore office in 2007, he said. These companies include Asia branches of U.S companies as well as regional SMEs.
According to Matt Healey, program director of research company IDC, who was also present for the NHR event, the increase in demand for used or refurbished goods in Asia will be connected to the rise of global Asian multinational companies.
As Asian companies get bigger and expand their operations on a global scale, the demand for cost-effective alternative strategies will rise, Healey said.
