Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, has launched its Global Marketplace and AliLaunch programme, which allows international technology partners to enter China market through its initiatives.
In a press release, Alibaba said the AliLaunch will assist technology partners to overcome common obstacles that international companies face when expanding to China such as scalability and technology compatibility.
"The introduction of AliLaunch demonstrates Alibaba Cloud's ongoing commitment of building a global cloud computing ecosystem, which connects SaaS developers and business partners from different countries on a unified platform," said Sicheng Yu, Vice President of Alibaba Group and General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Global.
"The AliLaunch programme and Global Technology Partners Marketplace serve as the perfect platforms for making different software products accessible to businesses and organisations in China. We are aiming to build AliLaunch as the TMall of the cloud computing industry, with more technology partners added in the future," Yu continued.
The AliLaunch programme can serve as an online store where businesses in China can access different technology partners and deploy their services through Alibaba Cloud.
Currently, there are 11 technology partners from United States, Europe, Japan, and Thailand that will participate in the programme including SAP, SUSE, HERE, Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Check Point, AppScale, AppEx Networks, Haivision, Hillstone Networks, Wowza Media Systems, and TrueIDC.
