Cloud to have a bright future in Asian governments

Nurdianah Md Nur | Oct. 16, 2015
Asian governments will increasingly turn to the cloud as it allows them to be more agile and better serve the citizens even with reduced budgets, according to executives of AWS and Odin.

Both Ershov and Moore are optimistic that cloud will become a norm in Asian governments in future. "Cloud is clearly no longer a new kid on the block. Over the past few years, it has rapidly risen in popularity and acceptance, and I believe that this upward trend will only accelerate," said Ershov. "We've currently got a good number of substantial workloads built and running on AWS from governments, and I forsee this number to increase in future," concluded Moore.
