Plesk12 enables a more profitable cloud for ZNetLive and its partners

Zafirah Salim | May 29, 2015
ZNetLive and resellers’ realise greater flexibility, control, ease of management and a 50 percent reduction in manpower requirements through the deployment of Plesk 12.

ZNetLive, India-based web hosting company, announced last week that it has improved manpower efficiency for its reseller partners by 50 percent by deploying Plesk 12. This has enabled its reseller partners to become more profitable, and enabled them to deliver more value-add to its customers in an increasingly-competitive cloud space.

Other key benefits that ZNetLive and its reseller partners reaped by deploying Plesk 12 included:

  • Greater flexibility for resellers to manage their own end-customers without ZNetLive's support
  • Better control where administrators have complete access to account management capabilities
  • Easier management of the IT ecosystem
  • Quicker server and platform migration
  • Enhanced visibility over IT resources

"One of our key customer segments are resellers. We came to realise that for these companies managing the day-to-day operations of the business can be a challenge, especially when all they had was a website panel that offered very little functionality," said Umesh Dubey, Senior System Administrator, ZNetLive.

Resellers had to log in to individual servers to manage their resources and configure the security settings, and manually migrate their customers from one server or operating system to another. This was generally inefficient and tied up a great deal of manpower to just service current customers.

To provide resellers with enhanced account management capabilities, and enable them to manage all the sites from a single dashboard, or remotely through a mobile app, ZNetLive offered Plesk 12 as their default control panel.

Plesk is designed to help with the management of web, domain name server, mail and other services through a user-friendly interface.

Dubey said that the deployment of Plesk has also resulted in more efficient use of human resources.

"By automating many of the tasks involved in managing a hosting environment, Plesk has enabled our resellers to reduce manpower requirements by about 50 per cent. This has enabled them to maximise manpower efficiency by deploying them to higher-value tasks within the company," he said.

Pavel Ershov, Odin Vice President and General Manager in APAC and Japan, added, "Today, over 50 percent of all small businesses do not have an online website, the global online presence market is also forecasted to reach US$21 billion by 2016. This represents a huge untapped opportunity for web hosting companies. Plesk is enabling ZNetLive and its resellers to make the most of this by increasing efficiencies and reducing overall cost, enabling them to concentrate on their core business."
