The Evolution of enterprise IT

Jack Loo | April 25, 2011
Accenture picks out eight trends that can help reshape information technology.

*Architecture: IT is expected to evolve from being server-centric to a service-centric model. Instead of having monolithic systems that are wedded to one or more servers, companies will choose to adopt finer-grained, reusable services distributed inside and outside the enterprise.

*Data Privacy: Organisations will become more attuned to regulations governing privacy and develop a risk-based approach to data privacy.

*User Experience: The need to create superior user experiences  will  be the main driver for business process design. Companies  will  be looking to provide deeper user engagement, natural interfaces as well as integrating processes and devices.
