Document management software, solutions, and services provider Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd launched last week (June 19, 2014) a new digital full-colour press, the Versant 2100 Press, for the entry-level production colour market in the Asia Pacific region.
Capable of printing up to 100 prints per minute (ppm), the press is designed to boost productivity and enhance versatility for all digital businesses. According to its media statement, this new addition strengthens the company's production colour portfolio with a new technology platform built for graphic communications specialists in the commercial print, quick print and in-plant segments.
Offering professional functions in a compact body, key features of the Versant 2100 Press include:
- Better performance - The Full Width Array feature helps users automate colour control, create image-to-media alignment profiles and deliver brand-managed colour in less time with less waste
- Higher image quality - The new Ultra HD Resolution produces smooth sweeps and gradients, sharp images, graphics and text. Applications are rendered at 1200 x 1200 dpi at up to 10 bits, which is 300 percent more pixels and color precision than the 600 x 600 dpi standard.
- More flexibility - Users can choose from three controller options - the EX 2100 and EX-P 2100 Print Server, Powered by Fiery, and the Fuji Xerox FreeFlow Print Server - to tailor the press to their production needs. It also supports an array of substrates including linen and polyester to provide more flexibility for users.
- Added value - The Fuji Xerox Freeflow Core workflow solutions streamline manufacturing processes, ultimately reducing costs. The press can also be integrated with colour management technologies to deliver more outstanding colour results.
In addition, Fuji Xerox provides users with an option of employing the 1:1 Experience service offering to enable companies to reach out more efficiently to their target markets with customised messages. To provide benefits of greater reliability, uptime and productivity, the production Remote Services use predictive analysis to accurately forecast when problems will occur or when supplies need replacement.
Committed to helping customers expand and improve their businesses in the digitisation of the evolving printing industry, Fuji Xerox claims that it will continue to innovate via leading digital printing technologies, applications and services to allow its customers to "do more with more" - a reflection of the Versant 2100's tagline.
Sales for this new product will begin starting from July 1 in Japan and Asia Pacific regions.
