MSC [Multimedia Supercorridor] Malaysia firm ECS ICT (ECS) has become an authourised distributor for IT management solutions CA Technologies.
ECS' wholly-owned subsidiary ECS Astar is now the distributor in Malaysia of CA ARCserve data protection and CA ERwin data modelling software, said ECS managing director Foo Sen Chin. "We are pleased to have signed this agreement with CA Technologies and we are gratified of their recognition of our expertise in the ICT distribution sector in Malaysia."
Foo said CA ARCserve data protection solutions helped to simplify backup and disaster recovery for physical and virtual server environments. CA ERwin data modelling tools helped business and technical users better understand and enforce critical data definitions, which would more easily position information as a strategic asset.
"We are seeing a growing interest in CA ARCserve and CA ERwin solutions in Malaysia and this is not surprising as organisations begin to leverage new technologies and solutions to tackle the challenges of growing data complexity," said CA Technologies vice president, data management, Asia Pacific, James Forbes-May.
"By tapping on ECS' vast channel network of resellers, we are confident that this partnership will extend our reach in the market and help bring CA Technologies and its award-winning data management solutions to more customers," said Forbes-May.
Formed in 1985, ECS ICT (ECS), which has MSC (Multimedia Supercorridor) Malaysia status, distributes ICT products through its subsidiaries- ECS Astar and ECS Pericomp.
