Digital imaging solutions provider Epson celebrated its 70th anniversary this year by holding a 'V.I.P Experience Day' in Malaysia, and also introduced new products from all of the company's imaging divisions: printing, projection, commercial & industrial printing and business systems.
The new products introduced in early September included the world's first and only branded ink tank system printers, the Epson L-series, which provide a 'Volume, Ink and Price' experience. Such ink tank system printers are made possible by Epson's extremely reliable Micro Piezo print head technology that can last the life span of the printers, said Epson Southeast Asia managing director Endo Koichi.
"Epson has always placed the consumer needs first when designing our products and solutions," said Koichi. "By incorporating innovative technologies, we have been able to consistently provide the best in value and quality thus giving our users a unique V.I.P experience with each product."
Other products on show included the new Epson EB-1700 Ultraportable series and EB-Z8000/10000 Ultra bright projector series, which featured the world's first real-time automatic keystone correction, he said. "New projectors with this technology are able to automatically and instantly correct screen distortions and focus the projected image in real time no matter where they are placed, or if they are repositioned during the presentation. The EB-Z8000/10000 series features Epson's brightest-ever luminance ratings of up to 10,000 lm (lumens)."
Koichi added that the latest Epson SureColor SC-30670 was designed with a new generation four-colour eco-solvent ink set for affordable sign printing without compromise on quality while the SureLab D3000 is Epson's first digital photo dry lab that brings the company's renowned expertise in professional, large format photo printing into an ideal solution for retail photo printing service providers.
