Network security solutions specialist Fortinet has secured the Frost & Sullivan 2015 Malaysia Network Security Vendor of the Year award for its market share leadership, product innovation and consistent efforts to deliver exceptional customer service, said the analyst firm.
"Fortinet showed an outstanding performance in the Malaysian network security market last year," said Vu Anh Tien, research analyst for networking, information & cyber security, Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific.
"The company has made great efforts in providing customers with new technological innovations, demonstrating its strong commitment to help customers mitigate emerging advanced threats and various security challenges," said Vu. "Fortinet's holistic approach towards its network security solutions helps its customers enjoy a strong security eco-system in a cost-effective manner."
According to Frost & Sullivan's network security tracker for hardware + integrated appliances + standalone appliances, Fortinet is the no. 1 network security appliances vendor in Malaysia by factory revenue, with an average market share of 19.8 percent for the whole of 2014, he said.

An independent panel of judges including industry leaders from across the Malaysian ICT sector, as well as Frost & Sullivan's ICT analyst team, evaluated the various contenders for this Award based on their revenue and revenue growth, market share and market share growth, product portfolio and key achievements. The network security vendors' performance were evaluated in the Firewall/IPSec VPN, SSL VPN and IDS/IPS segments.
