Gemalto will be supplying its Sealys eCover for ePassports to Taiwan's national printer, the Central Engraving and Printing Plant (CEPP), the digital security company announced today.
In a multi-year agreement, Gemalto will provide the Sealys eTravel ICAO Common Criteria certified software, embedded in the highly-durable passport inlay with secure microprocessor, the company said in a statement.
The Sealys eTravel ICAO operating system is the fastest in the world for both reading and personalisation speeds.
The inlay was selected for its exceptional durability, which passed and exceeded ICAO's test standards.
Gemalto will oversee the integration of its solution with CEPP's existing bookbinding process and the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA)'s issuance system as part of the agreement.
