SHENZHEN, CHINA, 10 MAY 2011 - HP is helping retailers engage with their customers and boost the shopping experience at every customer touch point with a high-performance point-of-sale (POS) solution.

By combining enhanced processing and functionality, the powerful HP rp5800 Retail System successfully addresses the requirements of the demanding retail environments.

HP has included in its new solution, advanced POS performance, manageability and security features that allow retailers to standardise on one system throughout their stores.

Featuring second-generation Intel Core processors with Intel vPro technology, HP rp5800 provide a stable and reliable IT infrastructure, and dual-integrated graphics ports that support both clerk- and customer-facing displays.

HP claims its rp5800 also enables enhanced manageability and control for retailers through compliance with manageability standards.

Customisable solution

Businesses can customise the HP rp5800 according to specific retail environments by leveraging its extra memory slots, multiple PCI Express slots and optional optical drives.

Users can connect the HP rp5800 to a range of optional peripherals including receipt printers, monitors, cash drawers and scanners.
