Telekom Malaysia BPO subsidiary appoints new VP

TM's business process services arm, VADS, says Fermin Fautsch will strengthen its management team.

Telekom Malaysia's business process services VADS has appointed Fermin Fautsch as vice president for ICT services with effect from 25 March 2013.

VADS chief executive officer Ahmad Azhar, said: "VADS is delighted to have Fermin on board with us, his skills and experience will certainly strengthen VADS management team lineup."

Ahmad said VADS has been assembling a team of players from a diverse group and cultures to offer depth and breadth of skills. "Fermin brings with him a wealth of experience from various industries and we are confident that he will be able to lead, drive and manage the ICT Services segment of VADS business in tandem with our strategic short-term and long-term objectives."

With more than 30 years of experience in information technology, operations and consulting within sectors that include oil & gas, telecommunications, financial and utilities, Fautsch most recently served as managing director, chief executive officer, partner and company director of Logica South East Asia and Hong Kong covering Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Hong Kong. He is currently the director and chairman of the EU Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is also a member of the EU ASEAN Business Council.

Formed in 1991, Business process services (BPO) provider VADS is a joint venture between IBM Global Network Services and Telekom Malaysia (TM), and serves more than 500 medium to large businesses across different industry sectors.
