UK's system recovery and machine mobility specialist Cristie Software, which recently opened its Southeast Asia regional headquarters in Malaysia, has announced a new appointment to manage its business in China.

Cristie Software's vice president for sales and marketing, South East Asia, Andrew Martin confirmed the appointment of Justin Hu as sales manager for China. "Justin's appointment comes as a direct result of the positive reception we received on opening the Regional HQ in Kuala Lumpur. I have worked with Justin previously and am absolutely certain that he will have a positive impact on our business across China."

Hu, who will report to Martin, said, "We already have a good business relationship with IBM and EMC in China. I hope to improve this with local presence and personal engagement."

"I am very pleased to have joined Cristie, I understand the Data Protection and Disaster Recovery industry very well and believe that by building local support in China we will be able to see many more customers benefit from Cristie Software's excellent solutions," he added.

Founded in the UK in 2007, Cristie Software specialises in machine mobility, recovery and availability and currently serves more than 20 percent of the Fortune 500 companies.
