UnionPay International enables cross-border payments for China’s e-commerce firm

UnionPay cards are now accepted by Dino Direct’s B2C and B2B online platforms.

Cross-border e-commerce has just got easier with UnionPay International's partnership with China's wholesale online shopping store Dino Direct.

According to a joint press release, the collaboration will enable customers to pay for purchases made from Dino Direct's business-to-consumer (B2C) platform, business-to-business (B2B) platform Osell, as well as related websites using their UnionPay cards.

The move will not only make it more convenient for overseas business owners and individuals to purchase from China'se-commerce websites, but also helps Chinese manufacturers sell their products to global consumers and retailers at lower costs.

UnionPay International plans to launch commercial card products designed for cross-border e-commerce trade to allow overseas business owners and individuals to pay with theUnionPayOnline Payment service.

Gaining popularity outside China
Currently, nearly 40 million UnionPay cards have been issued in 40 countries and regions outside China, said the company.

UnionPay International is stepping up its efforts to improve its overseas card privilege and service systems to enable its cardholders to "shop the world with one card."UnionPay cards is now accepted by 10 million overseas online merchants including Amazon, eBay, Rakuten and Agoda.

Cardholders are also able to buy foreign items including maternal and child products, cosmetics, clothing and food with UnionPay cards through the UnionPayHaigou platform "Shop The World".
