Mobile software provider Netbiscuits said it has joined the PayPal Mobile Partner Program to be able to offer a mobile checkout service using PayPal.
The partnership will allow retailers and e-commerce merchants to offer PayPal Mobile Express Checkout, the online payment service's two-click mobile payment system for the mobile Web. The checkout service will be available to Netbiscuits-powered retailers worldwide.
"By integrating Mobile Express Checkout, Netbiscuits' customers are now able to offer consumers a faster, more secure checkout experience," said Eddie Davis, senior director of strategic alliances, PayPal.
Netbiscuits' cloud software service for cross-platform mobile sites and apps allows retailers to develop and manage their own mobile commerce websites, and build their own mobile Web strategies.
With the PayPal Mobile Express Checkout, Netbiscuits' retail and e-commerce customers can also benefit from the standardised interfaces which Netbiscuits provides for leading e-commerce software solution providers such as Oracle ATG, GSI Commerce, Demandware, Intershop and others.
"Given the increase mobile commerce has shown throughout the last six months, more companies are getting serious about a long term mobile channel strategy," said Michael Neidhoefer, CEO of Netbiscuits.
Neidhoefer said retailers are looking for the robust, high-performing, and enterprise-class solutions that will boost their bottom line by enabling mobile shopping sites and applications. "And this is exactly what Netbiscuits provides," he added.
