Hewlett Packard hits the casino jackpot

Ross O. Storey | Oct. 22, 2009
HP recently won a major contract to provide the technology platform for Singapores Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort.

What other casino developments has HP had a hand in? What casino experience can HP draw from?

HP currently powers parts of the IT infrastructures of the Las Vegas Sands and the Sands Macau. We have also helped the Pechanga Resort and Casino in California create a single repository of comprehensive customer data for faster, astute decision making, and provide greater IT flexibility to support business expansion.

HP solutions are also helping online betting company bwin keep its massive databases up and running. bwin relies on HP Integrity servers to provide performance, scalability and reliability, especially since they are dealing with up to a million financial transactions daily.

Is there anything else you'd particularly like to add relating to the contract?

Marina Bay Sands is focused on both strategic cost efficiency and supporting long-term business growth. HPs technology platform allows Marina Bay Sands to maximise investment by lowering the cost to run and manage its technology infrastructure, freeing up staff to focus on mission-critical business operations.
