A new app to book your private jet

Ross O. Storey | May 16, 2011
Chapman Freeborn claims an industry first that makes private jet travel accessible.

There's now even an iPhone app to book your private jet - should you move in such circles.

One of the world's largest aircraft charter brokers, Chapman Freeborn, has announced the availability of Private Jet, an app that the firm says "gives users immediate access to thousands of aircraft worldwide".

In an official statement, British-owned Chapman Freeborn, which has 32 offices in 22 countries, said this is the first ever most user-friendly application available in the market for private jet bookings.

The announcement stated: "The app provides instant indicative quotes according to live market information based on users' entries on the requirements of the passengers. Within seconds of a search Private Jet identifies a selection of aircraft options including high-resolution photographs and valuable information such as flight times and fuel stops."

With this powerful app, Chapman Freeborn said the cost of private jet travel is made accessible. The Private Jet app is available as a free download in the Apple Store: http://itunes.apple.com/uk/app/id433399368?mt=8&affId=1578782.

Instant quotes

The app provides instant indicative quotes according to live market information based on users' entries on the requirements of the passengers, and all requests are instantly handled by dedicated charter specialists located in Chapman Freeborn Singapore's office.

Customers using the Private Jet app can submit their requests direct from their handset to Chapman Freeborn's global offices, manned around the clock. Charter specialists located at Chapman Freeborn's Singapore office handle all enquiries from Singapore, and around Asia and Australasia regions.

Chapman Freeborn Singapore director, Mark Middleton, said the private jet chartering market in Asia is still very young.

"We found out that many people consider private jet chartering as highly inaccessible - be it pricing or relevant chartering information," he said.

Instant information

"Chapman Freeborn aspires to open up the private jet chartering market in Asia, and empower executive flyers and travel professionals to get more information on private jet chartering quickly and conveniently. With this app, we are providing lots of information for our customers at their fingertips."

Chapman Freeborn's group executive sales and marketing director, Alex Berry, said Private Jet was the ideal tool for people who need to access Chapman Freeborn's aircraft information on a tight timescale.

"Its user-friendly design means it will set the standard for making charter enquiries on the move for many years to come," Berry said.

The Chapman Freeborn group's annual turnover last year was more than US$500 million and the company features in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 list of Britain's most successful privately owned mid-market companies.

Alongside providing charters for executives and corporate clients, Chapman Freeborn says it works with many big names in the entertainment industry including Coldplay, U2 and Beyonce.

The company says it also provides larger aircraft charter for group travel - including flights for the travel management companies, travel agents, governments, and conference and incentive travel organisers.
