Is the data centre network ready for Facetime?

There is a need for service providers to adopt a better network framework to increase bandwidth capacity and to reduce bottlenecks on the data centres traffic.

There will be more smart phones introducing new groundbreaking applications such as Facetime with more complex triple-play functions that drive the insatiable appetite for content in the near future. The introduction of more affordable 40GBE and 100 GBE switches today will make it easy for network managers to increase their bandwidth capacity without the forklift upgrade.
