Appoints new channel sales manager

Christina Kok, Fortinet's new channel sales manager for Malaysia and Brunei

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 SEPTEMBER 2009 - Increasing market engagement and size are the drivers behind the appointment of a new channel sales manager for Malaysia and Brunei, according to network security and unified threat management (UTM) firm Fortinet.

The company's regional director for South Asia and Hong Kong, Benjamin Teh, said that the appointment of Christina Kok as its channel sales manager for Malaysia and Brunei was to increase the depth of engagement as well as strengthen market development.

Christina will manage partner growth to accelerate market demand for Fortinet's security solutions in both countries with new and existing customers, said Teh.

We are very pleased to have Christina onboard, as her solid track record and industry knowledge will strengthen Fortinet's presence, he added. In addition, her channel expertise will help to further strengthen Fortinet's brand and operations in both Malaysia and Brunei.

Kok, who has 15 years' industry experience, said: I am glad to be part of the team and look forward to quickly accelerate the traction Fortinet has with the channel and end-users in Malaysia and Brunei.
