NEC Corporation has completed the delivery of core technical elements of the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre in Singapore, announced the integrator of IT and network technologies on Wednesday.
The INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre has been established within the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore.
Full-scale operation of the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre is slated to begin in April 2015, the company said in a statement.
The INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre is the driving force of the IGCI and its activities cover a wide range of areas essential to the assistance of national authorities such as cybercrime investigation support, research and development in the area of digital crime, and digital security.
NEC said it has delivered a digital forensic platform and various other technical resources to help INTERPOL establish the new centre.
NEC said it will showcase some of its advanced cyber security solutions, which have been implemented in the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre, at INTERPOL World 2015 to be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore from April 14 to 16, 2015.
